This two-way dialogue empowers the horse to become a full partner and allows the horse to willingly choose to cooperate with the rider’s requests.

 

The Divine Riding System uses Four Phases of Communication between the horse and rider:

 

  1. Non-interfering – The rider allows her horse the freedom to move naturally with rhythm and relaxation while they each develop a feeling of safety and strong self- confidence.
  2. Trusting – The horse trusts the rider to connect through a light contact of hands and legs and an increase in the quality of communication.
  3. Cooperating – The horse accepts the rider’s hands and legs and begins to flex in the jaw and cooperate fully with the rider’s wishes.
  4. Enlightened – Horse and rider become one through high levels of communication and connection.
